Tropica Aquarium Soil Powder 9L
- Aquarium Soil Powder is a complete active substrate that is used without the use of any other substrate.
- The fine grain size makes Powder suitable for foreground plants.
- Aquarium Soil Powder ensures good growth and stimulates color development.
Properties and application in use of the product
Aquarium Soil Powder ensures good and active growth right from the start, and it gives an extra boost to the red shades of the plants. It is a complete substrate that can be used without the use of other types of substrate. Aquarium Soil Powder is also an active substrate that lowers the pH and slightly affects the chemistry of the water. Therefore, we recommend a minimum of 2 weekly water changes (25-50% of the water) for the first 4 weeks after the aquarium has been started.
How do I calculate how much Soil/Soil Powder I need to use if it is to make up the entire base layer?
- Measure the length and width of your aquarium in cm, for example 90 x 60 cm.
-
Consider how thick a layer of Soil you want, e.g. 8 cm.
With a sloping bottom layer, which is higher at the back of the aquarium, you achieve a good visual effect. -
The calculation is then, length x width x layer thickness divided by 1000.
Here: 90 x 60 x 8/1000 = 43.2 L Soil/Soil Powder.
